Building

Do I need to know how to code? No. You describe what you want in natural language. A built-in code editor exists for those who want to look under the hood — it’s optional. What can I build? 2D pixel art, 2D modern, and 3D games — from small arcade prototypes to complex interactive worlds, depending on how you prompt and iterate. See Prompting. How is this different from a game engine? You describe instead of coding — but the output is a real engine project. Tesana’s AI writes actual GDScript on Godot, which is why exports and the code editor work. See How Tesana works. Is the AI trained on gameplay? No — it’s LLM code generation writing real GDScript, not a world model imitating game footage. Why did my prompt cost more than last time? Costs track actual AI work — deeper projects re-read more context, and bigger requests do more work. The full explanation: How credits work; the exact math: Pricing. Can I use my own assets? Reference images to guide style on any plan; the Max plan imports custom 3D models, audio, sprites, and fonts directly. See Custom assets. Can I collaborate with friends? Yes — invite them to the same game. See Collaborators.

Ownership & money

Who owns my game? On any paid plan: you, fully, with commercial rights that survive cancellation. See Ownership & IP. Is my game locked to Tesana? No. Paid plans export standalone builds and the full Godot source project. See Exports. Can I sell my game? Yes — on the Tesana store (70/30 split) or anywhere else (0% fee). See Game monetization. Do credits expire? What if I cancel? Monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle. Rights to games you made while subscribed survive cancellation. See Plans & top-ups. What happens if a build fails — do I pay? You pay for the AI work that actually happened, never more; platform failures get adjusted by support. See Failed & cancelled generations.

Community

Can other people copy my game? Only if you allow remixing, and remixes credit you. You can turn it off per game (paid plans). See Remixing. Where do I report a bug or get help? Getting help — Discord is fastest.
